We are a fairly big family (5 people), and we love training together. Training together is fun, and it is super good for you and your kids.
Initially it was not easy for me to setup a workout that we could all do at the same time. We are a diverse group, aged from 2 to 38, with 3 girls, 1 women and 1 man. So you can image that a set workout cannot work. Pull ups (my favourite) for instance is something my wife does not want to do, whilst my daughters cannot reach the bar. For me again pulls up has to be included. Catch 22, right?
We have found a way to get around this and enjoy family workouts. Adaptable circuit training. I set up stations in a circuit format with dual exercise options.
In this timelapse video, Eliana (8), Lia (5) and I do 4 exercises in the circuit. Our workout is 20 minutes long. At each station we do as many reps as possible for 30 seconds and then move to the next station. No rest until 20 minutes are done.
